Dhaka: European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh Michael Miller today highlighted that climate change, the impact of new technologies, irresponsible populism, and disparity are currently the most pressing challenges facing the world. Speaking at an orientation program for BRAC students at the Merul Badda campus, he emphasized the pivotal role the younger generation must play in tackling these issues.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Ambassador Miller encouraged students to nurture curiosity, ask critical questions, and challenge existing social systems while maintaining respect for diverse perspectives. He expressed optimism about the increasing number of BRAC University students who may pursue studies in European universities through the European Union’s ‘Erasmus’ international scholarship program.

The event was also attended by BRAC University Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Farhat Anwar, among others, underscoring the importance of international educational opportunities and collaborative efforts in addressing global challenges.
