Cumilla: A college student was killed in a road accident in Charbakar area of Debidwar upazila of the district this afternoon. The deceased was Saidul Islam, 25, a first-year honors student of Cumilla Victoria College and son of Nabiullah of Kangshnagar village in Burichang upazila of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place on the Cumilla-Sylhet Highway when a speeding motorcycle hit a roadside tree as its rider lost control of the bike. The bike rider died on the spot, said Parvez Ali, Officer-in-Charge of Mirpur Highway Police Station.
