Netrakona: A construction worker died after being electrocuted at the Bishnupur Mohsinia Dakhil Madrasa building in Kharnoi union under Kalmakanda upazila of the district today. The deceased was identified as Md. Moqaddas Ali, 35, son of Abdul Jabbar from Bagmara village in Narayanpur union under Kachakata Police Station in Kurigram district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Moqaddas came into contact with an electric wire while working on an under-construction building. The incident caused him to fall from the four-storey structure. After the accident, local residents promptly rescued him and transported him to Kalmakanda Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Sub-Inspector Babul Hasan of Kalmakanda Police Station confirmed the incident, providing further details on the tragic event.
