PWD Emerge Champions in National Men’s Volleyball Selection Round

Dhaka: Power Development Board (PWD) emerged champions in the selection round of the National Men’s Volleyball competition, triumphing over Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) with a decisive 3-0 sets victory in the final held at Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in the capital today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) general secretary Bimal Ghosh Bhulu graced the event as the chief guest during the final match. The selection round saw participation from six teams divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the final round.



In the earlier stages of the competition, PWD showcased their dominance by defeating Bangladesh Police in straight sets, 3-0, while BKSP secured their spot in the finals by overcoming Titas Club in a more contested match, winning 3-2.



The final round of the competition will see participation from seven men’s teams, including defending champions Bangladesh Army, as well as Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Navy, and teams from Kushtia, Dhaka, Bogra, and Rajshahi districts. These teams will compete from June 26-20 at the same venue.
