Dhaka: All civic services in Bangladesh are set to be provided through a single digital platform, according to Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Faiz Ahmed Taiyeb. At a workshop held at the Bangladesh Computer Council Auditorium, Taiyeb emphasized that those unable to access services via smartphones and computers will still be able to receive them through entrepreneurs associated with the Ek Thikana Nagorik Sheba platform. This initiative, also known as ‘All Citizen Services at One Address,’ aims to streamline government services for the citizens.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Taiyeb highlighted ongoing efforts to improve digital infrastructure, skills, and cybersecurity capabilities for government officials. ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury also spoke at the event, noting that previous government services were fragmented, being partly digital and partly paper-based. The Nagorik Sheba platform is designed to resolve these issues, allowing citizens to access multiple services with a single login, thereby saving time, money, and effort.

Currently, the Nagorik Sheba Platform delivers 81 government services and is being piloted at two centers in Gulshan and Uttara, with another center set to open in Nilkhet. Following the experimental phase, the program will be gradually expanded to ward levels across all upazilas and unions in 64 districts.

The workshop was attended by senior officials from various ministries and departments. The Nagorik Sheba Bangladesh initiative, launched online on May 26, 2025, with the slogan ‘All Citizen Services at One Address,’ was inaugurated by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna.
