Dinajpur: Two people, including an elderly woman, were crushed under trains in separate incidents at Chirirbandar Railway Station in the district today. The deceased were Anjuara Begum, 60, and Ziabur Rahman, 43.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Md Abdul Wadud, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chirirbandar thana, stated that Anjuara had died on the spot after slipping and falling under a moving train while attempting to board the Shantahar-bound Dolonchapa Express.
Later in the day, around 2:30 pm, Ziabur Rahman met a similar fate when he was crushed under the wheels of the Rajshahi-bound Banglabandha Express at the same station.
The officer-in-charge added that processes are underway to file separate unnatural death cases with the railway police station.
