Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today expressed deep shock over the tragic crash of a plane in India with 242 people on board.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a London-bound Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed on Thursday in India's western city of Ahmedabad. The incident, described by the airline as a "tragic accident," has left the international community in mourning.
In a message sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prof Yunus conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families. "I am shocked to learn of the tragic crash of an Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carrying 242 passengers in Ahmedabad. We extend our deepest condolences to all the families who lost their dear ones at this tragic incident," he stated.
During this difficult time, Prof Yunus emphasized that their thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones. "We stand in solidarity with the people and the government of India, and offer our full support in any form," he added, highlighting the bond between the nations in times of crisis.
