Dhaka: Twenty-eight dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period, 10 patients were hospitalized in Chattogram, six in Dhaka division, two in Dhaka North, and 10 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South, as stated in a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 4,977, with 23 deaths reported from the disease this year. In addition, 30 dengue patients were released from different hospitals in the last 24 hours. Last year, the total number of dengue cases reached 1,01,214, with 575 deaths reported due to the disease, the statement added.
