Joint Forces Arrest Three, Seize Arms and Foreign Currency in Khulna Raid

Khulna: Joint forces in a raid arrested three terrorists and seized arms, ammunition, and foreign currencies from a house in the city yesterday. The operation was conducted by a team comprising members of the army and navy at a house on Shamsur Rahman Road, where they apprehended a listed criminal, Babu alias Grenade Babu, along with his three accomplices.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Officer-in-Charge of Khulna Police Station, Hawladar Sanwar Hossain Masum, reported that the seized currencies included 268 Malaysian Ringgit, 50 Dirhams, 330 Indian Rupees, and 481 US dollars. In addition to the foreign money, the joint force team confiscated 25 credit cards, a firearm with ammunition, two smartphones, three button phones, and two signed cheque books from the premises.



The individuals arrested alongside Grenade Babu were identified as Abdur Rahman, a converted Muslim and son of Gagan Dutta; Idris Gazi, son of Babu Gazi; and Zonayed Chowdhury Mintu, father of Grenade Babu. All arrestees, along with the recovered items, were handed over to Khulna Police Station. Legal actions have been initiated against them, as stated by the OC.
