Dhaka: National Citizen Party Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain have conveyed their greetings to the citizens on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. In a Facebook post, the leaders emphasized the party’s commitment to establishing justice in society, combating corruption and extortion, and fostering an environment of truth and integrity for future generations.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the leaders expressed their heartfelt greetings, love, and congratulations to everyone, highlighting the significance of Eid-ul-Azha in teaching sacrifice and patience. They articulated the importance of the occasion not only in terms of the traditional practice of animal sacrifice but also as a time to renounce pride, selfishness, and any form of compromise with injustice.
Furthermore, they took the opportunity to honor the contributions of the martyrs, injured, and other participants of the July Uprising, reflecting on the enduring legacy of those who fought for justice and equality.
