Dhaka: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has raised concerns about the spread of propaganda against BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and their daughter, Zaima Rahman, through fake social media accounts. Rizvi made these remarks during a press conference at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rizvi emphasized that neither Zubaida nor Zaima have any social media accounts. He highlighted that a group is orchestrating a campaign against the Zia family, and the party is prepared to pursue legal action. Rizvi criticized law enforcement agencies for their inaction in addressing these malicious activities.
He further stated that spreading falsehoods has no place in a democratic society, and while some may attempt to exploit technology to disseminate lies, the public will ultimately reject these efforts.
