Dhaka: Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan has announced that gas supply to ready-made garment (RMG) factories will increase starting today. He attributed this improvement to the arrival of four new LNG cargoes, stating that gas distribution has already commenced. "From today, there will be no gas shortage," he assured.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fouzul, who also serves as the adviser to the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, made these remarks while addressing newsmen after inspecting a power plant in the newly developed zone of the Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ) in Ashulia, Savar this morning.

Prior to the inspection, Khan visited the office of the Palli Bidyut Samity Dhaka-1 in Ashulia. The visit was attended by senior officials from the Bangladesh Army and Palli Bidyut Samity, reflecting the importance of the initiative to boost gas supply to the RMG sector.
