Dhaka-Beijing Partnership Now at Its Best: Chinese Ambassador

Dhaka: Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen today stated that the Bangladesh-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership has reached its pinnacle in history. He made these remarks during the Summary Reception for the 2025 Bangladeshi Diplomats Training Programme at the Chinese embassy.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ambassador highlighted that the young Bangladeshi diplomats, through thematic seminars and field visits in Shanghai and Beijing, have gained a profound understanding of Chinese modernization practices. He emphasized that these young diplomats are not only inheritors of the bilateral friendship but also promoters of future cooperation.



The ambassador expressed hope that this training would act as a new starting point, propelling bilateral relations to new heights. Present at the reception were Bangladesh foreign ministry’s secretary (East) Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, the participating young diplomats, and representatives from the embassy.



Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam extended gratitude to China for organizing the program, which he said offered first-hand experience for Bangladeshi diplomats to observe China’s development. He expressed Bangladesh’s readiness to collaborate with China to expand cooperation, especially during the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the ‘China-Bangladesh Year of People-to-People Exchanges’.



During the session, the young diplomats shared their observations from China, praised its development achievements, and pledged to actively contribute to the advancement of China-Bangladesh friendship, as mentioned in the release.
