Khulna: A three-day land fair commenced at the Khulna Deputy Commissioner’s Office premises, with the aim of ensuring the delivery of citizen-friendly and digital land services directly to the residents.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a press conference was held at the Khulna Circuit House conference room to mark the event. During the conference, the chief guest, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) of Khulna, Md Firoz Shah, highlighted the progressive digitization of land administration. He emphasized that this transition is geared towards ensuring transparency, accountability, and expedited public service delivery.
Md Firoz Shah further stated that all processes, from application to resolution of e-mutation, are now conducted online. He noted that this initiative is crucial for building a modern and progressive Bangladesh, with active participation from the younger generation. He added that the land fair aims to deliver digital land services directly to citizens, thus reducing public suffering and enhancing service quality significantly.
The event was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Md Akhtar Hossain, along with officials from various government departments and journalists from both print and electronic media. The press conference organized by the Khulna Divisional Administration focused on the modernization of land services.
The land fair, scheduled from May 25 to May 27, 2025, will operate daily from 9 am to 5 pm. The fair features a total of eight stalls, including a land service exhibition, audio-visual presentation booth, information and booklet distribution center, quiz competition, public hearing and feedback booth, citizen consultation corner, land discussion pavilion, and seminar arrangement.
Organizers expressed optimism that such initiatives will ensure transparency in land administration and play a significant role in improving service delivery.
