Dinajpur: A three-day land fair has commenced in Dinajpur district with the objective of making digital land-related services accessible to the general public. Deputy Commissioner M Rafikul Islam inaugurated the event at the Sadar upazila Land Office premises, serving as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fair has been organized by the Sadar Upazila Land Office in collaboration with the Land Ministry, Land Reform Board, and Land Management Automation Project. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the fair aims to provide immediate resolution to land-related complaints by offering services directly to the attendees.
Present at the event were Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Jane Alam, Revenue Deputy Collector Md. Saddam Hossain, Sadar Upazila Surveyor Abu Dayan, and Union Deputy Assistant Land Officers from 10 unions. The function was presided over by the Assistant Commissioner (Land).
Deputy Commissioner Rafiqul Islam highlighted that the introduction of the land management automation system is set to offer citizens hassle-free services. He reiterated the Ministry of Land’s commitment to establishing a harassment-free and people-friendly land service system, and mentioned that several steps have been taken to achieve this goal.
