Committee Reconstituted to Address Government Employees’ Demands

Dhaka: The government has reconstituted a standing committee to review and examine various demands, opinions, and suggestions of public employees. Additional Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry has been appointed as the head of this 10-member committee.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the member secretary of the committee will be the Joint Secretary of the Secretariat and Welfare Department of the Ministry of Public Administration. The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification regarding this reconstitution.



The committee includes the Joint Secretary (Organization and Management-1 Branch), Joint Secretary (Rules-1 Branch), Joint Secretary (Field Administration, Internal Recruitment and New Recruitment Branch), Joint Secretary (Administration Branch), along with one representative each from the Cabinet Division, Finance Division, Finance Ministry, Home Ministry, and the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division. All representatives must hold a position no lower than the rank of Joint Secretary.



The committee’s mandate is to examine the reasonable demands of government employees and provide their opinions and recommendations. It is scheduled to convene once a month and may engage in discussions with a suitable number of employee representatives if necessary.
