Khulna: The 177th public hearing of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will be held at Zila Shiplakala Academy in Khulna at 10am tomorrow. The event is jointly organized by the ACC headquarters and its Integrated Divisional Office to raise awareness among the public and address issues of corruption.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the public hearing will feature ACC Commissioner (Investigation) Miah Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi as the chief guest, with Commissioner (Inquiry) Brigadier General (Rtd) Hafiz Ahsan Farid attending as the special guest. The event aims to provide a platform for individuals who have experienced harassment or have been deprived of services from various government and non-government offices to present their grievances directly to senior officials.

Officials from the ACC have stated that immediate decisions will be made based on the complaints presented during the hearing. This initiative is part of the ACC’s broader objective to eliminate corruption by promoting accountability and ensuring the integrity of government officials. The commission believes that enhancing ethical values and making government services accessible to all citizens is crucial to achieving this goal.

To maximize participation, the ACC Khulna Divisional Office has launched an extensive campaign, utilizing microphones, distributing leaflets, displaying posters, and setting up complaint collection booths throughout Khulna city. The ACC has also invited journalists from both print and electronic media to attend and cover the event, underscoring the importance of transparency and public engagement in the fight against corruption.
