Seasonal Fruit Festival Brings Joy to Underprivileged Children in Narsingdi

Narsingdi: A 'Seasonal Fruit Festival' showcasing local fruits was held for underprivileged and street children by the social organization Alokito Narsingdi.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event took place this afternoon at Narsingdi Municipal Park, where 50 children participated. Each child received a plate arranged with traditional fruits including mango, blackberry, lychee, jackfruit, water apple, and palm pulp.

The festival was presided over by the founding president of the organization, Abdul Al Mamun Russell. Also in attendance were Motahar Hossain Onik, Chairman of Nobodhara Education Family, Haradhor Das, General Secretary of SUJAN - Citizens for Good Governance Narsingdi District Committee, Md. Zainal Abedin, former treasurer of Narsingdi Press Club, Goshtolal Das, Senior Vice President of the organization, and Ashikul Islam Ashik, its Organizational Secretary.

Speakers at the event highlighted that Alokito Narsingdi has been supporting street and underprivileged children for over a decade. They provide assistance during Eid with new clothes, vermicelli, sugar, and cash, and this time, they aimed to bring joy through local fruits. The organization plans to continue such initiatives in the future.
