Dhaka: Information and Broadcasting Secretary Mahbuba Farjana underscored the necessity for official activities to be conducted in strict accordance with existing laws and regulations. Farjana stressed that adherence to legal frameworks is crucial for maintaining discipline within official operations. She highlighted the importance of vigilance among officials to prevent legal actions against the government due to negligence.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the secretary's comments were made during a workshop titled 'Laws and Strategies to Support Case Management', organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Tathya Bhaban. Farjana emphasized that the rule of law is a foundational element at every level of governance. She noted the significance of legal knowledge for all citizens, emphasizing that proper etiquette, policies, and regulations are essential when handling official documents.
Farjana further stated that government employees must have a comprehensive understanding of land management laws, procedures for safeguarding government property, and certificate cases. She encouraged officials to integrate their training insights into everyday work practices. The workshop also featured contributions from Law Officer Md Masud Parvez and Joint Secretary Kazi Ziaul Baset.
The event saw participation from 48 officials and employees representing the Department of Mass Communication, Bangladesh Television, and Bangladesh Betar.
