Lalmonirhat: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 apprehended a suspected drug trader with 22.70 kg of ganja in the Vocational Mour area under the Sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Sunday night. An operational team from RAB-13 conducted a raid and seized the significant quantity of ganja along with an auto-rickshaw that was being used to transport the drugs, arresting the individual at the scene at 11:00 pm, as detailed in a press release on Monday night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the detained man has been identified as Md Shakhawat Hossain, 48, the son of the late Abul Kashem from the village of Kakeya Tepa in Sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat. The RAB-13 team promptly handed over the arrested individual and the confiscated items to the Lalmonirhat Sadar police station for further legal proceedings.
