Dhaka: Home Adviser Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) today urged the readymade garments (RMG) factory owners to ensure that the salaries and bonuses of their workers are paid before the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha celebrations. Emphasizing the importance of timely payments, Chowdhury stated, “The salary and bonus of the garments workers must be paid before Eid celebration.”
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Home Adviser also issued a stern warning against any workers taking to the streets with demands that are not deemed logical. He stated unequivocally, “None will be allowed to take to the streets with irrational demands. In that case, action will be taken against them.”
