Barishal: A total of 82 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, 40 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 15 in Chattogram, five in Dhaka division, six in Dhaka North, eleven in Dhaka South, one in Mymensingh division, and four were admitted to different hospitals in Khulna division, as reported by a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 3,068, with 21 deaths reported this year due to the mosquito-borne disease. In the last 24 hours, a total of 83 dengue patients have been released from various hospitals.
Last year, the number of dengue cases reached 1,01,214, with 575 deaths reported, the statement added.
