Dhaka: River ports have been instructed to hoist cautionary signal number one due to the likelihood of rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary west/north-westerly gusty or squally wind in various regions of the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) issued a bulletin indicating that the warning for inland river ports will remain valid until 6:00 pm today. The bulletin specifically mentioned that regions including Pabna, Tangail, Dhaka, Cumilla, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Chattogram are expected to experience these weather conditions, necessitating the hoisting of cautionary signal number one at the river ports.
