CA Mourns Death of Mustafa Zaman Abbasi

Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today expressed deep shock at the death of renowned musician, researcher, and writer Mustafa Zaman Abbasi. In a condolence message, he highlighted the lasting impact of Abbasi’s contributions to Bangladesh’s music, noting that his legacy will be remembered forever.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mustafa Zaman Abbasi, an Ekushey Padak recipient, passed away this morning at the age of 87. The Chief Adviser prayed for the eternal peace of Abbasi’s departed soul and extended deep sympathy to the bereaved family.



Professor Yunus remarked on the significance of Abbasi’s work, stating, “The songs and research of this multi-dimensional musicologist, born in a renowned musical family of the subcontinent, will create scopes for new thoughts in the cultural arena of Bangladesh.” Abbasi’s contributions as a musician and researcher have left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape of the nation.
