Adviser Jahangir Alam to Visit Dinajpur for Agriculture and Security Discussions

Dinajpur: Agriculture Adviser Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd) is set to visit Dinajpur on a day-long engagement on Thursday. The visit will involve a series of events focusing on agriculture and regional security discussions.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser will begin his visit by inaugurating the BRRIdhan-88 rice harvesting at a ceremony in Dhelapeer Block of Mokhlespur union under Biral upazila at 12:30 pm. This event will provide an opportunity for him to engage with farmers and discuss their experiences and concerns as the chief guest.

Following the inauguration, the adviser will attend a meeting to discuss law and order, as well as agricultural issues, with prominent officials including the Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur, Rangpur Range DIG, Deputy Commissioners, and Superintendents of Police of the Rangpur division. This meeting is scheduled to take place at the Dinajpur Circuit House at 2:00 pm.

Later in the day, at 4:20 pm, the adviser will interact wit
h officials from the Barind Multipurpose Development Authority at the Bangladesh Wheat and Maize Research Institute in Dinajpur. Subsequently, at the same venue, he will meet with officials from various departments and organizations under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Rangpur division at 5:00 pm.

The adviser is expected to conclude his visit by departing for Dhaka from Saidpur Airport in the evening, as noted in the press release.
