Rajshahi: A new ad-hoc committee and election commission have been formed for the election of the executive committee of the Rajshahi University Alumni Association (RUAA). This was announced in a notification signed by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Saleh Hasan Naqib.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the newly formed ad-hoc committee has appointed Professor Dr. Md. Ekramul Hamid of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering as the convener. The role of Chief Election Commissioner has been assigned to Professor Dr. F. Nazrul Islam from the Department of Physics.
The ad-hoc committee comprises four members: Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahim Mia from the Department of Law, Professor Dr. Md. Shamiul Islam Sarkar from Physics, Professor Dr. Md. Amirul Islam from the Department of Islamic History and Culture, and Professor Dr. Md. Gias Uddin Ahmed.
The election commission is also composed of four members, including Dr. Dil Ara Hossain from the Department of Accounting and Information Systems, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Hannan from the Department of Law, Dr. Md. Nurul Momen from the Department of Public Administration, and retired Additional Secretary Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan.
