Noakhali: A day laborer was killed by a thunderbolt at Jalyal village of Ward no-9 in Noakhali Municipality this noon. The deceased was Nurul Amin Kala, 42, son of Nur Ahmed of Salyaghtaiya village in Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the lightning was followed by a rainstorm and struck Nurul Amin around 12:15 pm while he was working in the area. The incident was confirmed by Police Inspector (Investigation) of Sudharam Model Police Station, Abu Taher.
