Dhaka: Thirty-six dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during this period, 22 patients were hospitalized in the Barishal division, one in Mymensingh, six in the Dhaka division, one in Dhaka North, and six were admitted to various hospitals in Dhaka South, as stated in a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 2,465, with 19 deaths reported this year due to the disease. Last year, the number of cases reached 101,214, with 575 deaths attributed to dengue fever, the statement added.
