Gaibandha: Madhu Mia, 32, an alleged notorious dacoit involved in a sensational robbery case under Chilmari Model Police Station in Kurigram, has been arrested from Gaibandha district. The Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-3 of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in Gaibandha Camp apprehended Madhu, who is from Bhasarpara under Fulchhari Police Station, at 7:20 pm on Friday, a press release stated today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a gruesome robbery incident occurred in the river Brahmaputra, near the Korai Barisal River Ghat under Chilmari Model Police Station of Kurigram district on February 9, 2025. A robbery case was filed on the same day as the incident.
Following his arrest, RAB transferred the detainee to the concerned police station for further legal action.
