DMP Takes Action Against 1,630 Traffic Violators in Dhaka

Dhaka: The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed a total of 1,630 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules. This information was confirmed in a press release issued today by DMP deputy commissioner (media and public relations), Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division conducted these actions and collected fines on April 20 as part of a regular drive against those breaking traffic rules. The press release detailed that 124 motor vehicles were dumped and 115 vehicles were wrecked during the operation.

The statement emphasized that these enforcement drives will continue with the objective of maintaining order on the city streets. The DMP traffic division is actively working to streamline the traffic system in the capital, aiming to provide city dwellers with easier movement.
