UGC to Publish Three Books on Higher Education

Dhaka: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has signed an agreement with three university teachers today, to publish UGC-approved textbooks on higher education, ensuring the authors’ copyrights. UGC secretary Md Fakhrul Islam signed the agreements at an event with scriptwriters Dr. Makhan Chandra Roy of the Bangla Department at Chittagong University, Deepti Rani Dutta of the Oriental Arts Department, and Dr. Kalidas Bhakta of the Sanskrit Department at Dhaka University.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, UGC member Professor Dr. Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan was present at the programme as chief guest, as stated in a press release. Dr. Tanzimuddin remarked that the books will aid students in expanding their knowledge base. He expressed hope that the UGC’s initiative to publish books on higher education will continue.



Dr. Tanzimuddin also emphasized the UGC’s efforts to boost research support, foster new knowledge creation, and ensure proper management of universities. The scriptwriters expressed their gratitude to the UGC for promoting research and publication endeavors.
