Fatikchhari: A bank official died falling off the rooftop of a three-storey building at Shilpa Para under Kanchannagar union in Fatikchhari upazila of the district this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased, identified as Mohammad Abul Hashem, 57, was the manager of Grameen Bank in Kanchannagar Branch. He was the son of the late Abul Gafur and a resident of Indrar Char area under Debidwar upazila in Cumilla district.
Hashem accidentally fell from the rooftop of his rented house and died on the spot, confirmed Nur Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge of Fatikchhari police station.
