Brahmanbaria: Two youths lost their lives and four others sustained injuries in a road accident in the Ramrail area of Sadar upazila this morning. The deceased have been identified as Tanvir Mia, 23, from Nazardaulat village in Nabinagar upazila, and Rafiqul Islam, 25, from Lalpur under Ashuganj upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the tragic accident occurred on the Cumilla-Sylhet highway when a lorry collided with a CNG-run auto rickshaw coming from the opposite direction. The incident resulted in critical injuries to the driver and five passengers of the auto rickshaw, as stated by Mozaffar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Model Police Station.
The injured individuals were promptly taken to Sadar Hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, Tanvir and Rafiqul succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment, confirmed the Officer-in-Charge.
