Kushtia: In response to a global call for a strike on April 7, 2025, students of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia have participated in the movement in solidarity with the people of Gaza. Marking the movement, over two hundred students of the university brought out a protest march from the university's main entrance this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, after parading Shekhpara Bazar, adjacent to the campus, the protesters returned to the starting point, where the demonstration concluded. Earlier, in response to the brutal attacks by Israeli forces in Gaza, the Islamic University authorities have announced a one-hour complete shutdown on April 9, from 12 pm to 1 pm.
The university has called on all teachers, students, officials, and staff to join the protest and stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
