Dhaka: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today said Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus’s China visit is a big success for the government.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fakhrul highlighted that during the Awami League government, relations with China were established unilaterally with one party. However, he noted that with the change in government, China has altered its approach and is now engaging with all political parties. Fakhrul expressed this while exchanging Eid greetings with party leaders and activists at his residence in Kalibari.

Fakhrul pointed out that China is a leading global economy, ranking second in terms of economic size. He emphasized China’s significant investment in Bangladesh and mentioned their commitment to further invest in production and development in the country in the future. He described this commitment as a source of optimism for Bangladesh.

Regarding the upcoming election, Fakhrul expressed hope that the next general elections will take place this year, based on information provided by the chief adviser.
