Dhaka: The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 2,750 cases during operations in the capital regarding traffic rule violations. A media release of the DMP today said that they conducted the drives on Friday and Saturday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in addition to the cases filed, 359 vehicles were seized and impounded while 143 others were towed due to poor driving practices. The operations were part of an effort to enforce traffic regulations and ensure road safety in the city.
The DMP’s initiative aimed to address the increasing concerns over traffic violations and improve the overall flow of traffic in Dhaka. The authorities emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules to prevent accidents and maintain order on the roads.
