Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has called on the Muslim Ummah and peace-loving individuals worldwide to unite in efforts to halt the attacks and genocide in Gaza, urging support for the oppressed people in the region. Dr Shafiqur Rahman made this appeal during an iftar-mahfil where he served as the chief guest, organized by Kafrul Thana Paschim Jamaat at Manipur School and College (Branch-3) ground in Shewrapara of the capital.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Shafiqur emphasized the importance of standing by the “oppressed brothers and sisters of Gaza” during the holy month of Ramadan. He urged everyone to unite and assist the people of Gaza, guided by their faith in Allah and the teachings of Islam.
The iftar event was presided over by Kafrul Thana Paschim Jamaat Ameer Abdul Matin Khan, while Thana Secretary Atiq Hasan Raihan moderated the event. Among those present were Central Working Committee Council Member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Nayeb Ameer Abdur Rahman, Central Working Committee Member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Secretary Dr Rezaul Karim, and Assistant Secretary Dr Fakhruddin Manik.
