DMP Files 1,630 Cases for Traffic Rules Violation

Dhaka: The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1,630 cases for traffic rules violation during a drive conducted in different areas of the capital on Wednesday. The information was confirmed in a press release issued here today signed by deputy commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the DMP, Muhammad Talebur Rahman.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division filed these cases and collected fines on March 19 through a regular drive targeting traffic rules violators. The release further detailed that 223 motor vehicles were dumped and 90 vehicles were towed during the operation.



The initiative is part of an ongoing effort by the DMP to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets. The DMP traffic division aims to streamline the traffic system in the capital to facilitate easy movement for city dwellers.
