Dhaka: BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Zainul Abedin Farroque today claimed that Bangladesh deposed premier Sheikh Hasina is hatching anti-state conspiracy after taking refuge to India.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Farroque stated that Sheikh Hasina is attempting to destabilize the country from India. He urged Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus to remain steadfast, emphasizing that political parties will engage in constructive criticism and discussions with the government. He assured continued support for Dr. Yunus.

Farroque highlighted that BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman warned of the consequences if the interim government failed, suggesting that it would result in a loss for Bangladesh and nationalist forces. He made these remarks while addressing a discussion on ‘Constitutional Rights and Acceptable Elections’ organized by the Jatiyatabadi Projonmo 71 Central Committee at Maulana Akram Khan Hall of the Jatiya Press Club.

In his address to the interim government, Farroque cautioned about internal conspiracies, urging them to be vigilant and take action against those planning to sabotage the elections. He stressed the importance of unity to thwart such plots.

Farroque also reflected on historical precedents, noting that oppressive rulers have been ousted and destroyed. He cited the Awami League as an example, attributing Sheikh Hasina’s downfall to her alleged conspiracy against Bangladesh during the student movement.

The discussion was attended by several BNP members, including Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Safu, Executive Committee Members Abu Naser Md. Rahmatullah and Advocate Rafiq Sikder, along with Matsyajibi Dal Member Secretary Abdur Rahim and others. Jatiyatabadi Projonmo 71 founding President Dhali Aminul Islam Ripon chaired the event, with acting General Secretary Ayub Ahmed Shahin moderating.
