Gobindaganj: A motorcycle rider was killed in a road accident at Khashi Bat Tola area on the Gobindaganj-Dinjpur highway under Gobindaganj upazila of the district last night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased was identified as Md. Zunaid Hossain, 35, son of Ripu Miah, a resident of Kogaria village under Shapmar union of the upazila. The tragic incident unfolded when a truck collided with Zunaid’s motorbike at approximately 10.30 pm, resulting in severe injuries to the rider.
Mojaffar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Gobindaganj Highway Thana, reported that the injured individual was promptly transported to the upazila health complex. Despite the medical team’s efforts, the on-duty doctor declared Zunaid dead upon arrival.
