Two Robbers Arrested in Khagrachhari for Matiranga Dacoity

Khagrachhari: Police arrested two members of a robber group from Matiranga in Khagrachhari district early today. The arrestees were identified as Naim-Al-Sultan, 31, and Md. Yousuf Prokash Kala, 35.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests were made in connection with a dacoity that occurred in the house of Manjur Islam in Matiranga Paurashava on March 4. Police superintendent Arefin Juwel stated that the robbers were apprehended following the incident.



Authorities reported the recovery of several items from the residence of Naim at Muslimpara area of Matiranga Paurashava. The confiscated items included weapons, lock-breaking gadgets, four mobile phones, two bangles, two earrings, a shopping bag, and Taka 35,000.



Police superintendent Arefin Juwel confirmed that the arrested individuals are also implicated in multiple criminal cases in the districts of Noakhali and Laximpur. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the robber group and retrieve the remaining stolen goods, officials added.
