Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is set to convene a special meeting with senior police officers tomorrow to address law and order issues. Some 127 SP level and senior officers are expected to participate in this significant meeting at the Chief Adviser’s office, as disclosed by Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder during a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser will engage with field-level police officials to understand their perspectives and provide necessary directives concerning law and order. Inspector General of Police Baharul Alam is slated to deliver the welcome speech, while six field-level police officers will present on six critical focal points during the meeting.
Azad emphasized the uniqueness of this gathering, noting that such a meeting has not been held in the past. He highlighted that the Chief Adviser aims to listen directly to the officials on the ground to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement strategies. Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam and Senior Assistant Press Secretary Foyez Ahammad were also present at the briefing.
