Burichang: Two Indian nationals were arrested by the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today for illegal entry into Bangladesh through the border area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BGB-60 Sultanpur Battalion arrested the duo from Burichang upazila of the district. The commander of BGB-60 Battalion, Lt. Col. Md. Ziaur Rahman, announced the arrest this afternoon.
The individuals arrested have been identified as Sanjit Deb Barma, aged 30, and Bimal Deb Barma, aged 23. Both are residents of Konaban village under Madhupur police station in Sepahijala district, India.
Lt. Col. Md. Ziaur Rahman stated that the arrested Indian citizens have been handed over to Kasba police station in Brahmanbaria district for further legal action.
