Dinajpur: The National Vitamin A Plus Campaign 2025 has begun today here in the district. Dinajpur deputy commissioner (DC) Rafiqul Islam inaugurated the national medical campaign at ward no 3 of Dinajpur municipality as the chief guest. The event also saw the presence of deputy director of local government Riaz Uddin, civil surgeon Dr. Asif Ferdous, and secretary of the municipality Mahbubur Rahman as special guests.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, at least 3,82,908 children in the district will receive Vitamin A plus capsules during the campaign. This includes 40,767 children aged 6-11 months who will be given blue Vitamin A plus capsules, and 3,82,141 children aged 12-59 months who will be administered red Vitamin A plus capsules.
The campaign will be conducted across 2,616 centers throughout the city. Civil surgeon Dr. Asif Ferdous, speaking at the inaugural function, emphasized that the campaign was proceeding smoothly, with the municipality authorities and the district health department collaborating to ensure its success.
