Dhaka: A man was electrocuted while installing a water pump at Char Gazi village in Borhanuddin upazila of the district in the early hours of today. The deceased, Md Belal, was the head teacher of Al Iqma Nurani and Hafezia Madrasha.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Borhanuddin Thana Officer-in-Charge Md Siddiqur Rahman reported that Belal came into contact with a live electric wire during the installation process, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
