Dhaka: Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar announced today that approximately 97 percent of textbooks have been distributed, with the remaining to be distributed by mid-March. He shared this information during a media briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy this afternoon.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Azad acknowledged a slight delay in this year’s textbook distribution process. He revealed that out of the planned 39.6 crore textbooks, around 38.29 crore have already been printed and distributed. However, the printing of the remaining 1.05 crore textbooks is still pending.

Despite the delay, the deputy press secretary expressed optimism, stating that the interim government anticipates completing the printing and distribution of the remaining textbooks within a week. Additionally, Azad mentioned that Education Adviser Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar has announced that the process of printing textbooks for the next academic year will commence tomorrow.

The briefing was attended by Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, and Assistant Press Secretary Suchismita Tithi.
