46 People Arrested in Ctg for Various Charges

Chattogram: Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested 46 leaders and activists of Awami League, Jubo League, and Chhatra League from different parts of the city in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today (Monday). They were apprehended on various charges, including involvement in attacking protesters during the student-led July uprising and other criminal offenses, CMP sources revealed.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests were part of a broader initiative by the CMP to address growing unrest and ensure law enforcement in the city. The individuals taken into custody were identified as being involved in activities that disrupted public peace and violated legal norms.



The CMP has been actively monitoring the situation and is working to prevent further incidents. The organization emphasized its commitment to maintaining order and protecting the rights of the citizens. The recent arrests are seen as a measure to deter future acts of violence and uphold the rule of law in Chattogram.
