Joint Forces Arrest 427 Over Weeklong Operation

Dhaka: A joint force led by the army has arrested 427 individuals over the past seven days from various parts of the country on multiple charges.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an ISPR press release revealed that the detainees include listed terrorists, extortionists, robbers, kidnappers, juvenile gang members, and drug peddlers. These arrests were made during operations conducted from February 27 to March 5.

The joint forces also seized a range of items, including weapons, narcotics, passports, national identity cards (NIDs), mobile phones, SIM cards, and cash from those apprehended. Additionally, adulterated food items were confiscated, and illegal fruit production facilities were shut down.

The apprehended individuals have been handed over to the relevant police stations, with legal proceedings currently underway, the ISPR stated.
