Mohanganj: A youth was stabbed to death by miscreants over previous enmity in Mohanganj upazila of the district last night. The deceased was Rabbi Mia, 22, son of Anis Mia, a resident of Tengapara area of Mohanganj municipality.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident occurred when some miscreants called Rabbi, stabbed him, and then fled the scene in Tengapara area of the poura town. Following the stabbing, Rabbi attempted to save his life by jumping into a local pond.
Local residents quickly came to his aid, rescuing Rabbi and transporting him to Mohanganj Upazila Health Complex. Md. Aminul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Mohanganj Police Station, stated that Rabbi was given primary treatment before being transferred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
In connection with the incident, police have arrested two individuals.
