Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted the possibility of rain or thundershowers affecting various regions of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin released this morning specified that areas likely to experience rain or thundershowers include Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. The bulletin also mentioned the likelihood of light to moderate fog developing in certain areas from late night to early morning.
Temperature fluctuations are expected, with a slight decrease in night temperatures and a potential drop in day temperatures by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius across the country. On Saturday, the highest recorded temperature was 34.5 degrees Celsius, observed in both Cox’s Bazar and Ambagan within the Chattogram division. Conversely, the lowest temperature was 15.0 degrees Celsius, recorded at Rajarhat in the Rangpur division.
Significant rainfall over the last 24 hours was noted, with Aricha in the Dhaka division recording the maximum rainfall of 47 millimeters. In Dhaka, the sunset is expected at 5:58 pm today, with sunrise anticipated at 6:25 am tomorrow.
